Did you know that the average age of a homeless person in the United States is 9 years old? Over 27,000 children in the Mid-Hudson Valley are living in poverty and 4,800 are homeless. As many of our long term clients know, each year we partner with a local nonprofit to raise money for needed programs. This year, Family Promise of the Mid-Hudson Valley was chosen by the staff because it represents an organization in the Mid-Hudson Valley which brings shelter, meals and support to families without homes. For every new “Like” we receive on Facebook before April 15th, we will donate $1 to FPMHV (up to $2,500). We encourage you to donate to them also…….remember, it’s tax deductible!
